Our Team

The year that UC Davis’ Gas-powered Formula SAE team transitioned to Baja SAE. With a handful of committed team members, Davis Baja SAE made it to their first off-road competition (albeit barely).

With a larger team and a lot more experience, UCD Baja SAE competed with a completely new car. Ultimately placing 61st, the team infinitely exceeded the previous year’s DNF.

The team reached it’s largest size yet and now had established sub-teams for business, suspension, drivetrain, and chassis. This improved organization helped the car continue to evolve.

The team successfully returned Davis Baja Racing to competition for the first time in more than 6 years with an all new car, DBR25. Ultimately placing 65th, the team learned a ton about competition and vehicle design to set up for success in future seasons.

Building off of the success of the previous season’s car, the team has already begun working on the next, DBR26, to create a vehicle with greater performance and competitiveness.
